    Today's the Day!

    The spouse comes home!!! I took the day off to finish painting the dining room so he doesn't come home to a complete mess. (hmmm, yet where do I sit? I'm not typing this from the ladder!)

    He was on-call last night so I'm sure after rounds he went back to his room for a nap. That gives me some time to get things back together.

    Needless to say he has not enjoyed this rotation at the Hood. (That's Fort Hood in lovely Killeen, Texas for you of of state and out of the country people) He is very much looking forward to coming home, as I am to having him home. Although Petey is not looking forward to his arrival as that will mean the dog is back to dog status and will have to sleep in his kennel again.

    Oh well, time to get moving!

    Enjoy your time together, you deserve it! Even though puppy is getting a demotion, he will also be happy to see daddy, I'm sure. I suggest lighting some candles, displacing the animals off the couch, ordering take out, and getting reaquainted!

      Do you have something special planned? You are PAINTING the dining room? PAINTING the dining room?!!!! (added twice for emphasis). Girl, get off of the ladder, shower off the paint and get ready to greet him when he walks through the door!
