      Sumo baby is right. Although I know that in Asian cultures they dote upon the little boy babies like nothing else. They're fed like foie gras. 20/20 or Dateline reported recently from fat camps in China; they were showing that because boys are so coveted, their families literally feed them with love...

        DH sees patients at a clinic (in a poor part of Dallas) on Fridays. He saw a 30 lb 6 month old. Mom would breastfeed her, then give her a bottle at every feeding. Poor kid couldn't bend her arms or legs.

        There could be a disorder at work...or just a clueless mom who means well.
