  • Holiday Card questions

Ok...so I am way behind in pulling together my holiday cards but have a couple of questions for y'all.

    1) Is it ok to use labels for sending cards? I have so many and I don't think I will have the time or appropriate penmanship to pull it off.

    2) Similar to the gift giving question...is it ok to give a holiday card to someone if they don't know you are sending one?

Aargghhhh! I love and hate the holidays.

    Re: Holiday Card questions

I used labels and I hope no one was offended. It's just the way things are done now.

I think it's fine to send a card to someone who doesn't know you're sending one, as long as you don't get torked off when you don't get one back. I send to lots of people who just don't do holiday cards.

Don't callme Emily - as in Post

BUT I'll chime in anyway - I think it is perfectly ok to make labels and to send cards to those that do not expect it. After all - isn't the spirit of giving part of the holidays?

I do remember that for our wedding invitations I was strongly encouraged (ok - told to) to hand write all addresses. However, to me this is a formal invite not a "hey" wishing you a great holiday card!! And you know, I have received wedding invitations with labels and can honestly tell you I have not gasped at the horror because it does not really matter to me other than the fact that the labels make it easier to read your friend's addresses.

Speaking as someone who receives holiday cards and does not send them every year, I am just glad I am on people's lists - label or no label.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

Thanks!! I am going to go ahead and print these now...rather than write them out. Now all I have left to do is split the Xmas specific cards from the generic Happy Holidays....we already missed Chanukah
