In the past few months I have figured out some very common sense things that shouldn't have taken almost 30 years. Do you guys have things like that ?

I just figured out that
a) Thanksgiving is ALWAYS on a Thursday
b) Every year there is a Summer Olympics there is also a Presidential Election.

DH just learned the other day (from me) that St. Patrick's Day is *always* on March 17. Apparently he thought it was always the same day so that the actual date is different ever year (like Thanksgiving).

DH just learned that Jesus wasn't really born on December 25th. I finally found out what 12 days of Christmas are.

I just learned why Hannukah is celebrated-- from a children's book that Isabel checked out from the library.
(BTW it's a very interesting story!)

I also just learned something from this very thread-- the presidential election/summer olympics connection. Very cool.

(We all need a break from the debates! The commercials! The mudslinging! UGH!)

My husband remembering my birthday. The actual DATE. and oddly enough, my first husband couldn't remember it either. and the only reason Favorite Ex-Boyfriend could is because his was 11/11 and I am 11/14. Seriously, this year was the first year my beloved didn't have to ask. ("I know it's coming up but...")
