  • Voter turnout

I for one am VERY happy to see that both Iowa and now NH have had outstanding voter turnout. It makes me so mad to see some of the voter turnouts in other countries that hover around 80% and people are fighting to get there and yet, here sometimes only 20% of the people bother to make it to the polls.

Maybe, just maybe, people are beginning to realize that it DOES matter if you vote.

I'd love to see record levels turnouts for the rest of the election process.

I couldn't agree more. I was shocked to learn that my bff's husband (IN THE FREAKING AIR FORCE) hasn't voted since the Bush/Perot/Clinton election. I gave him a big old ear-full ... and hopefully his wife will too.

I don't like the electoral college, but for now it's all we've got. If you don't vote, then you've got no right to complain -- and who here wants to give up their right to complain!!!!!?????!!!!!

Now that alone is worth standing in line for!!! Although I have to say it's frusterating that all the presidential elections I've voted in, the person who I didn't vote for won. At least I reserved my right to bitch though....
