  • One More Night

Just one more night of DW's eight-week night shift rotation. And then we don't have to worry about it again this year. Of course it doesn't mean I'll see any more of her, but at least I'll have some backup with screaming children in the middle of the night. And maybe on occassion some help at bedtime. Yea. Can't you tell I'm excited?

I can't imagine trying to deal with a night-float schedule when you have kids ... ((shudder)).

I'm glad it's over 'til next year!!

Yay for your family! It sounds tough.
We are not there yet but I think it will be one of the hardest aspects of being married to an EM doc.

True, but I *think* most attendings take turns with all the shifts so you aren't stuck (usually) with a month of nights, more like a week. Or at least that is what DH has told me... hope it's true... I ... hate ... nights ... you don't even get to sleep next to each other, and I count that (sadly) as some of our one on one time... Hey when they are busy you take what you can get...
