I have to admit, I sometimes miss the northern California rain but this constant well below freezing cold is starting to get to me. My mom was at the park with my brothers the other day and my family in So Cal said it was 80 the other day!!! Bah!
I'm with you. Winter has lasted about 3x's longer this year than it has in my previous two winters here. Last Monday was just such a tease! (70 degrees! and then a snow day on Wednesday!!!).

Let's just say that the dogs didn't do their business for a day and a half - not because they weren't taken out, but because it was too stinkin' cold! I'll be so happy when it's like...40!

Alison, I am right there with you. (and the rest of you poor saps freezing your buttons off...)

We *tried* flying home yesterday...but it was so windy on the ground that our plane came within FIFTEEN feet of the runway and the plane swooped up and diverted us to Allentown PA. Yeah, like a 3.5 hour car ride away. That was a nice cap to an already crappy trip.

I am SO ready for spring!

This winter bites! It is sooo cold. I am home for the third day in a row with kids. The first two were due to weather and today was because of a sick kid. I am soooo over the cabin fever. I keep running into people who have been to Cayman Islands or are going to Florida. My vacation is the grocery store with three kids! Give me a warm front!

Next time that happens, feel free to do a makeshift layover and spend the night.

Of course perfect skiing weather had to happen as soon as I decided to go back to work.

I feel we are fortunate for our weather here in S. FL, but then I hear from friends back home about their wonderful ski weekends up North. We are torn.

It's actually 17F here. I'm so happy that it isn't below zero. It really does feel so much warmer to me!

I'm ready for spring too, Alison. I am already mentally planning my gardens. This weekend at card club, we were taking requests for the veggie garden from our nextdoor neighbors. They were always the lucky recipients of extra stuff.

                      Man...I can't wait for spring.
