I was going to suggest Hawaii. Here's a monthly average chart for Maui; might fit the bill - average high in the 80s all year, average low in the 60s:

Hawaii can get humid and rainy, but that's why it's so lush and green.

I was going to say this! It was definitely humid when we were in Maui. Santa Barbara would be good or San Louis Obispo/Carpinteria. There's always Newport and Laguna..... DH wants to live in San Clemente when we're done.

California is your only bet. There are just a million other things wrong with living in California.

Florida has great weather, but it does have the humidity.

Hawaii is also humid and isolated.

Texas is more severe weather-wise than the above three, and depending where you are can be really humid as well.

There has to be a good website that shows cool graphs and things.

Sylvia, I'd say in the Caribbean but I'm afraid you might smack me.

Actually, I read somewhere that South Africa boasts the most temperate weather globally. Unfortunately, it also has extreme poverty, crime, a ridiculously high AIDS rate, and some serious racial tension. I'd stick with Hawaii.

is it that obvious that i hated it there?

there is waaaay too much humidity to even consider it. and, i always said i would NEVER EVER EVER live on an island again.....unless it's prince edward island. and i am anne of green gables.

i think i will go make myself sick and check out california prices.

Yup, those are pretty much our prices without the hurricanes and humidity and within 1.5 hours of NYC.
