  • Things to do in Dallas

We are going to Dallas for three days at the end of June beginning of July to see DH's grandmother and his aunt/uncle/cousin. As his grandmother says "her house is boring" so for those of you in the know what are good things to do in June (hot!) in Dallas that are infant friendly.

    TIA!

Cheri: There was a thread started on March 28th by Amiens on this topic, except that her planned trip was earlier in the year. That thread may be of some help...I posted there (for whatever my thoughts are worth...). HAVE A GREAT TIME! I love the Big D!

Indoor entertainment during the months of July and Aug. in Dallas is a whole new adventure! LOL! I'd try this place. I took my nieces there a couple summers ago and they loved it! http://www.dwazoo.com

Definitely go to the Dallas World Aquarium. Also, The Nasher Sculpture Center is a must and the DMA (across the street). We go to the zoo no matter how hot or cold it is so I guess if you're okay with the heat, head on down to the hood and enjoy some penguins, gorillas, otters, chimps, etc. We are major zoo fans!

We go to the Museum of Nature & Science a lot but there is more for kids than infants there. But it's fun.

Oh, and if you are willing to drive to Ft. Worth check out the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. TONS of hands on kids stuff!

Dallas is the most awesomest place to live -- I love my 'burb! I love the sunshine! Lots of fun things to do and see and tons of shopping!

so you're going? you're really going? and in AUGUST? That will be a huge shock to your system.

I can promise that I will not visit Dallas before August. .... probably not for awhile after August either, but I promise to wait 'til you're there.

I miss Dallas so much. We are headed back next week for DS graduation. While I wouldn't live "IN" Dallas, I loved Carrollton. Would move back in a heartbeat.

I think I will see if we can go for Thanksgiving, if dh has vacation. If not then, maybe again in the spring during the kid's spring vacation.
