Luanne wins for most exciting!! I can't believe it is so soon!
We are going to an Indians game on Sunday for Father's Day. Other than that....typical suburban family stuff. Yardwork, grilling, kid's sports events and sleep overs. Good times.

"Where are we going - and what am I doing in this handbasket?"
I'm going to let DH sleep in. Luckily, late sleep has been programmed out of him so that will be until 7:30 or so. For Father's Day he wants to do a "we run, kids bike" ride though it will probably be just dd1 riding and the other two in a stroller. We are giving him a hammock so we'll set that up and hang out. He wants to paint the basement for a while. Maybe some pool time and grilling for dinner. My long distance cooking buddy and I are going to make Ile Flotante for dessert and compare notes.
We've been needing a lazy family day and I'm looking forward to it!
I'm home with the kids tonight (just like every night) while DH is at the movies with his dad. We were going to go to the in-laws' for breakfast Sunday but MIL is a drunk selfish witch and FIL is an enabler so those plans got cancelled since the drunk decided she didn't want to see her son and daughter-in-law and we won't allow the kids over there without one of us (and since I won't go without DH we just hardly go). Anyway, we're taking DH to breakfast at IHOP in the morning and my mom gets back from her 3 week trip to Panama in the afternoon so we'll head to her house then.

Have I ever mentioned that I loooooove summer? We went swimming, I let the kids stay up way to late, we went to DS's weekly coach-pitched baseball game, and we slept in this morning. We may go walk around the waterfront this afternoon. There is always something going on during summer weekends down there.
I love, love, love summer. I just have to remember that we're not in Minnesota anymore and I can slow the pace a bit because we have more than ten weeks to be outside. I feel like I have to go, go, go to get in all the hikes, festivals, swimming, theme parks, regular parks, and boating. By the end of the summer, my kids are like, "Mommy please can we stay home?"
