  • Christmas shopping online?

Is anyone else buying gifts online? We've pretty much shyed away from anything except amazon.com and books. But we recently started ordering kid's clothes online...and are seriously thinking about just ordering our gifts online too...it seems as we become more comfortable with the web, we're less anxious about it.

    Anyone else?

    Kris-

If it's not online or on sale at Barnes and Noble then it's not a Chirstmas present. I'm serious. I haven't set foot in a mall in the last three holidays and for us, it's not just Christmas, but birthdays, anniversaries, etc! I love shopping online-

some of the retailers I use are:

http://www.redenvelope.com (expensive but great when you have someone who has everything)
http://www.aafes.com (for you military people who hate the PX)
    http://www.personalcreations.com
http://www.jjill.com (my entire wardrobe is from jjill!)
    http://www.1800flowers.com (always reliable)
    and of course- eBay!!

I'm with Jenn on this one. For the past four years I've bought 95% of my Christmas gifts online. I have them all shipped to my parents' house in IL, then I fly in and wrap them all at once on Christmas Eve and I'm ready to go. It's worked out great for my situation. I would NOT enjoy having to haul all those gifts on the airplane.

I usually end up going to the mall because I enjoy a little of the holiday-hustle-and-bustle, but when I get tired of it I leave, it's not like "I have to stay here until I find a gift for my dad, come hell or high water." I love the Internet.

I will shop on-line for smaller items, but for the most part, I will go bricks-and-mortar. I must be crazy, but I lovvvveee going to the mall- even during the mad rush. :P I like the ambience, the hustle & bustle, the decor, and just touching & feeling the items. Also, my family is notoriously picky about what I get them and have been know to return things, so on-line shopping would be a hassle in that respect.

I have done a lot on the internet over the past few years because it is easier to have things gift-wrapped and shipped (especially when I can get free shipping!) than for me to wrap it and then drag babies/toddlers/kids to the post office to ship it all off -- one of my most-dreaded holiday chores. Since we ship virtually all of our gifts, buying online saves me a LOT of time. I do like to go to the mall for the holiday ambience, but I do not want to be under the gun while I am there -- I just want to enjoy.

            Ditto Sally and Jenn,

Internet shopping is the only way to go for the holidays. Much easier to send gifts to locations rather than have to spend an hour at the post office. I love it! Plus, who needs the stress of the mall. I'm more likely to stick to budget if I go the cyber way!
