Mountain Lion in Bedroom Kills Family Dog

I saw that on the news this morning, very scary. If I remember correctly there was a rash of missing cats when I lived in a southeast Denver suburb and there was speculation that it was a mountain lion. Its to bad they had to kill the ML but if it entered a home it would have done it again too.

How terrifying! Where we live now, a neighbor's dog was killed by a mountain lion a few years back - but it was outside. I guess once you've lived here a while, you quit being freaked out by that, but I don't plan to let my kids or my dogs play outside by themselves. And now I guess I won't be leaving any doors open.

I grew up not too far from there, over a canyon or two. That is rare but definitely something to keep an eye out for.

I can testify to the terror that is a mountain lion confrontation.

Except my mountain lion was a few feet away in my driveway and MY dog definitely put up a fight (and, didn't die!).

I'm sure those poor people had to change their bedsheets and underwear after that awful episode. Poor dog.
