Annie. I didn't find one....in true med fashion I found out same day.

Ugh. He did bring me home cheesecake though!

I think it's time for us to join sittercity or something similar. We need to have a regular sitter and I've emailed and called all the moms I know and no on claims to have a sitter.

Our old sitter (that we loved) totally flaked on us. We invited her over for dinner...never showed, never called. It's been a few months now.

sorry you didn't get to go! FWIW, dh always tells me the night before, or the day of. i usually cant/dont go. but, he always brings me a yummy desert.

oh, and sitter city...i have never used it to find a sitter, but i am a sitter on it. and i always get hits from normal people with normal kids.

sucks that you can't find someone reliable. and if you want to get around the fee to join, sign up as a sitter...then browse the profiles of the people in your zip code. easy-peasy.
