Re: 15 minutes in the background

Jamie and all of the PNWers:

Here are the programs that we partially based our program on:

        http://www.co.multnomah.or.us

        http://www.wfts.org

and also the program in San Diego. The difference in the programs stems from the legal aspects of Public Intoxication. In some places it's a Class C misdemeanor, in some it's a Class B and how treatment evolved is oftentimes based on how the person is charged in the first place. In San Antonio, currently it's a Class C misdemeanor. We are also not a detention facility so should they want to leave, we can't stop them.

Of course, we make them talk to a counselor AND a security guard before they can get their clothes back (they wear scrubs- they can also wash their stuff in the washing machine we have. and they have to shower)
