DH and I went to our first medical conference together in Vegas. I was signed up for a day - they had a full day on practice marketing, management and the legal aspects of an alternative practice. And it was my first time in Vegas. We are not big partiers or anything, but there is certainly a lot to see and do there.
The hotel was phenomenal. We stayed at the Palazzo and our suite was bigger than our place during residency and thank goodness because I spent most of the time in the room
DH and I went down to the first morning session of the conference and I started feeling woozy. I thought I hadn't eaten enough the day before from traveling and was a little tired. DH was between sessions, so he went and picked me up some food. I ate about three bites and felt REALLY weak. DH said I looked pale and I should skip the next session, head back to the room and try to catch the afternoon lectures.
Well, I went back to the room and I did not leave until it was time to get on the plane. I didn't want to alarm DH but I felt really sick. We had signed up for an optional dinner lecture that first night, but I texted him that he should probably stop by the room. He felt my head and headed out to find a thermometer -

I guess the good part is that I lost a few pounds on the trip I didn't get to see Vegas, no :dinner: dinners, no shows, no . We got home late Sunday and I have been resting all week. I finally felt okay yesterday - but geez - what a letdown.
