Is it bad that I'm starting to get nervous about Match 2010???

Good luck to everyone going through it this year! I hope whatever happens, happens for the best!

Good luck with waiting - I feel for you! It was so awful to wait after submitting his rank list, knowing it was all out of our control. I spent hours at work playing on zillow.com and looking up cities where we might end up. We literally couldn't talk about anything without the topic going back to the Match. I wish I could offer you some great advice, but short of taking a two-month vacation to Hawaii, it's going to be really stressful - but exciting!

We are so there too. As I'm sure I've already said, I have a greater sense of anticipation over the match than the new baby... How sad is that. Not that she isn't wanted or we aren't excited about her arrival, I think it is more a BTDT type feeling.

Hi! I'm new here. My husband will find out this March where he matches. I'm quite anxious to know what our future holds! He'll be going into ob/gyn.

Just do your husbands/wives a favor and if they are possibly going to be matched at the program they are currently attending for medical school: DON'T FORGET WHEN YOU OPEN THE ENVELOPE THAT YOUR RESIDENCY PROGRAM COORDINATOR IS PROBABLY WATCHING YOU ---KEEP YOUR TRUE FEELINGS INSIDE UNTIL NO ONE IS WATCHING.

No, our experience was not that bad, but my hubby was clearly disappointed and luckily I noticed the Doctor was watching and whispered to him to keep it in...had he commented anything it could have been bad!!! It wasn't that he was disappointed about where he got in...more a disappointment that we would not be moving near family again. I think he had convinced himself we were moving closer to his parents.

I am definitely joining you in that excitement/nervousness! It makes it so hard for me to think about starting my career after graduation this spring, knowing that we might move! (Then again a change could be fun too!)

We match in March as well. I am completely unproductive at work and daydream about options 1-10 constantly....ready to get this thing done!

Until this week, I was managing well and not thinking about the Match. Now I'm struggling. I'm over endlessly worrying about it, talking about it and explaining it. Wake me in April.

We're just ready to know. So we can know where to pre-move our stuff, so that we can either plan our honeymoon, or move across the country after our wedding. :happyrolling:

It seems DH and I have a 3 hour conversation every day about how the rank list will look. He called from the other side of the country yesterday to say "I love it here! And it's not *that* cold." I'm so ready to know where we're going.

We've been done with training going on three years now and it was only LAST year that match day came and gone and I didn't have any significant butterflies on that day.

The "significance" of match day to me is so layered.
Very little of it has to do with WHERE you matched in my opinion.
