1) Priceline.com - I never knew how great it was. It has saved us hundreds (maybe a thousand or so) on this interview season. We got a rental car in NYC for $20 a day and didn't have to go to NJ!!! We also got a really nice hotel in Philly for more than half the price advertised on their website.

2) SPANX - I wore spanx before but after the baby I didn't really know what a blessing they could be. I just bought the Hide & Sleek Hi-Rise Panty and have found my new best friend.... I am in love :mydoc:

Thank you! This just reminded me that I need to rent a car. Priceline and Hotwire were SO helpful for interviews.

I love Spanx too. If only the difference was permanent.

Yup, both Priceline and Spanx are a girls' best friend, but not necessarily in that order.

My favorite line in the movie Steel Magnolias is where Dolly Parton & Olympia Dukakis are talking at the wedding about a rather large woman who was dancing:

Olympia Dukakis: and she's not even wearing a girdle!
Dolly Parton: These thighs haven't left the house not wrapped in spandex since I was 15

That reminds me of my favorite all-time mom line -- She was at a wedding and ran into a guy that I'd dated. (Actually, I didn't even date him. A friend of mom's set me up with him. We went out once. He got sloppy drunk. I sent him home in a cab and never went out with him again. Of course, I couldn't tell my mom's friend that so I just let everyone think that I was terribly disappointed that it didn't work out.) Anyway, he brought his new girlfriend to the wedding and my mom was checking her out. Reporting back to me the next day, my mom told me that the girlfriend "couldn't be Jewish because she wasn't wearing pantyhose."

Oh, and yes, Spanx have changed my life!
