  • How do we get rid of these spam posts?

I assume there's still adjustments that need to be made to keep these ring tone posters out? Well at least they aren't porn links!

Lots of the others went away. I'm guessing Kris removed them? I tried to take some out yesterday but I don't seem to have the admin powers anymore. Kris told me that we are changing software next week so the spam posts will disappear then. Until then, I think we'll just have to consider these ring tones!

I deleted them this morning. I'll see if I can do these as well.

When I try to delete, I get a fatal SQL error. I guess I'm off the hook!

It worked! I'll take another stab at them tonight.

I wonder if it actually ever works?

From the looks of things, no it doesn't.

Well, after the week we've had, I hate to scare everyone, but ... we'll be moving over to vBulletin from phpBB where we'll have much more control over user registrations. I'm trying to actually get over the heart attacks of this past week before embarking on the new challenges though!

That is ok, Kris. Moving the board around is enough work as it is. I can keep doing an am/pm delete to keep the board from getting cluttered up with the stuff.

I think the spam posts are the least of our worries. At least they're obvious -- just don't click on them.

Kris - remember to breathe. Thanks (as always) for all you do.

Thank you, Nellie! You are the queen deleter!!!!!

It's funny that people are thanking me, because if it weren't for the group of admins, this place would fall apart!

I owe you guys a lot for all that you do.

I just hope there is no mal/spy-ware embedded in them.

I did click on the life insurance one, thinking it was a real post. What I dont get is that they make no sense whatsoever. They are just random jibberish, they arent even selling anything.
