I don't know what has gotten into me. I'm normally not a "recreational shopper" but this month I'm burning a hole in our finances. Kohl's has a 75% off sale and I stocked up with clothes for the little guy for next year. $25 bought a pair of snow paints, three osh kosh sweat pants, and a rugby shirt! Campmor.com has some children's ski jackets reduced down to $29! Somebody stop me before my husband finds out !

OMG, Kelly! I'm so glad you brought up this topic . I'm "supposed" to be on a "financial diet" (N. Year's Resolution). But when I went to the mall and passed Victoria's Secret and saw that they were having their semiannual sale, I just had to go in and "browse." Needless to say, I did not come out emptyhanded (but my wallet did ) Fortunately, I did get buyer's remorse and returned some stuff, but when I went back, they had even more selections on sale. It took so much out of me to walk straight out the door w/o stopping to "browse."

I'm totally broke these days, and today I went shopping--I didn't go totally overboard, but the sales were fabulous and it was hard to resist. I got a Gymboree outfit for my friend's new adopted baby (I don't even buy my own kids Gymboree outfits!), and at Children's Place I got snow pants and a pair of jeans for my daughter for only $13 total!!! Are these sales some kind of reflection on our economy or something???

O.K. I'm really out of control...but I've never seen prices like these before. It is hard to resist, especially when the items are things that we will eventually have to have anyway. Sue, you're right, these prices have to be a reflection of poor retail sales and the economic slump.

Don't worry, I'm surrendering the Visa to my hubby tonight.
