I thought the song was so great for her because it's about unfufilled dreams. I imagine that before becoming an old maid she thought her life would have been so different from the life she's living. . . It's good to see her pursue her dream.

I kept thinking the same thing. That is part of what made it so moving.

That and seeing Simon actually smile with true joy.
