  • Online calendar apps?

Anyone have a recommendation for a good online calendar application? At this point I'm just looking for a basic one, where DH and I can both view and edit entries so we can organize and see what's going on with each other.

I thought I remember someone here mentioning a calendar function through Google...?

    calendar.google.com

If you already use gmail, it's even better, because you can put a little calendar sidebar on your email main page. If you each have a calendar set up, then you can each have rights to each other's calendar items, and they'll show up in a different color, and you can invite each other to events so things are on both...it's very full-featured and flexible. If you put an address in the "where" field (nothing else, just an address), then when you go to the details of the appointment, it shows you a little google map with the location.

That would be my first suggestion too. I think you can sync it with a PDA pretty easily too.

But, if you subscribe to Apple's MobileMe service, you can sync calendars between multiple Macs, iPods/iPhones, etc. as well as modifying them on the web. That's what we're doing. I think the only difference is that the syncing is automatic.

Google calendar has just about put an end to scheduling mix-ups (note that I say just about ). Like Sandy said, it would work better if we both had gmail accounts. I go through DH's email account and we use the google calendar on his account. Someone was telling me about... I Google or I Google Calendar? ...something like that...which would be another way for both of us to access. What we are doing now works, as long as items are put on the calendar. Since it is linked to his email there are no excuses for missing it.

I google and iCal. I would like to give a shout out to Plaxo, though. The site has meshed all DH of our calendars and uploaded them for mobile access and sync (Google, iCal and Outlook from work). It is a good thing.

We have the Google calendar and LOVE it. Whenever on of us updates/adds/changes something the new info automatically loads to our iPhone calendars.

Oh, and we have them synced so he can see mine and I can see his.
