    Because I'm clueless...

    I have a blog but it doesn't seem to be in the Weblog thread. Am I doing something wrong or are these two different things?

    They're two different things. The "Blogs" section you get to from the link at the top between "User CP" and "Community" is a separate area from the forums. The "weblogs and journals" section of the forums is just a holdover from the old forums where there wasn't a good separate blog section.
