One of the groceries stores by our house is closing (just this location). Everything in the store is 25-50% off, with most things being 40-50%. All the Mrs Meyers products -- 50% off. Woohoo! I have a shame amount of good-smelling stuff, stocked up on flour and other baking stuff, chocolate, frozen lunches, etc.
But...most of my bargain-hunting glee disappeared when I realized that not all the employees are moving to other stores. DH and I have wondered how this location stays open because it isn't very busy and is an over-priced store. I'm not surprised. One of the wine dept employees is the parent of DD's classmate. He was really helpful, considering that he doesn't have a job after this weekend.
That is the second classmate parent I've heard about this week.
