I remember that cash was nice - but I think a gift certificate is just as nice... I just didn't like getting all those trinkets related to graduation - those things are useless and just take up space...

My Aunt did the gift certificate to the school book store and I loved it! I also like the WS gift card - both practical but flexible gifts!

I also think it is generous that you are giving a gift to your cousin (we don't do gifts for our cousins)

Oh, yes! The engraved desk set! Every high school graduate needs one of those.

Me too!!! Didn't have a computer until I got married.

A typewriter might be a cool retro gift for some kids.

I think I used my hs grad money toward my first computer. I did my college apps on a typewriter. Anna saw a typewriter a few weeks ago and was so curious about it!

I remember doing my high school papers on my mom's old electric typewriter. My first computer in college was OLD SCHOOL, well before windows and had a dot matrix printer.
