O.K. this was supposed to be a poll, but I can't get it to work. If someone smarter than me can make this into a poll format, please lead the way.
I ask this question because I find that as I'm getting older, I'm more insecure about going out without at least a little bit of makeup on. A few years ago, my "uniform" was no make up, a pony tail, t-shirt, cut off jeans, and running shoes. REcently, I'm noticing a few too many fine lines to be this secure. I guess I'm just curious about your habits as well.

Kelly-
I rarely wear make-up- at least to work. BUT I do make sure to slather on my AHA moisturizers at bed time and in the morning! If I do wear anything during the day, it's usually just mascara.
I did just get my hair cut off really short again so I do try to wear more make-up so to make sure that I look slightly feminine!

I always wear it, I confess. I decided a long time ago that white skin and blonde eyelashes are not attractive on me. When we were first married, I would occasionally go without, but we lived in a really small town, and I was a teacher at the (only) middle school, so I couldn't even go to Target without seeing someone (usually a student) that I knew -- and always, I seemed to have either tampons or birth control in my cart when I ran into them! But I digress -- since then, I have just made it part of my routine to put some on. I don't notice too many lines (yet) but I just enjoy having a little more color.

I NEVER wear make-up! My husband says it is because I don't need to, but actually it is because I'm very lazy! I never wore makeup, even in high school. I also don't fix my hair, it is all one length so usually I wear it in a pony-tail. A few times a year if we have a wedding to go to, I might put on a little lipstick and eye shadow, but since I never wear it, I really don't know how to put it on anyway.Awake is the new sleep!

I've been trying to go without it more often because I don't want my self-image to become dependent on it. For the most part, though, I probably wear it an average of 6 days a week.
One day we were watching TV and my boyfriend suddenly declared his prefrence for women without makeup. I was like "What do you mean!? I wear makeup every day!" and he was all incredulous and said "You DO??"

I have to admit that I am lazy and 90% of the time don't wear make-up and have my hair in a pony tail. It has been a gradual process to where I don't wear any, because in high school and college I did most of the time. I should wear at least lipstick and mascara though because usually I look like a zombie.

My DH prefers me without makeup, but I prefer at least mascara, and some lipcolor. I tell him it enhaces my natural beauty!!!!

I have noticed that I have started wearing more makeup as I have gotten older just to even out my skin color. That is only if I am going out though. I also usually curl my eyelashes and use mascara because my eyelashes are so straight. I wear lipstick once a week to church and that's about it. I do wear my sunscreen lotion every day though. My good friend from college was here and she had a HUGE bag with every kind of makeup you could imagine. I laughed because I wouldn't know what to do with half of the stuff!!!

Well my wife (4th year student) rarely uses makeup. The exception is when we go out to somewhere nice, or when she has an interview, etc. In my opinion, the whole point of makeup is to make it look like you aren't wearing any! So Julie must be doing something right! Oh, and I think most men like women who don't wear much makeup (the implied assumption, though, is that the woman doesn't need to wear any because she is naturally beautiful).

I agree, I think most men prefer a more natural look. My husband is the Anti-Makeup Crusader though! He threatened to not kiss me at our wedding if I "had that sh*t on" my lips! I explained that I had to wear something or look horrible in pictures! We compromised at a low shine barely visable lipstick! (besides, he was drinking beer in the backyard with my dad before the wedding and was much more relaxed as a result!)- (we were married in my parent's living room)

I wear full makeup on the weekdays for work--full makeup that looks natural, not like "WOW! She's wearing makeup!" But I hardly wear any on the weekends to give my skin a break. It really does make me look better, and I feel more confident with it on for some strange reason, but I'm not neurotic about touching it up during the day, so by evening most of it is gone. I used to do theatre, so I'm used to wearing it and pretty good at putting it on. Most everything I use is from MAC.
