Happy February

Happy February, we are closer to Spring!! It is 8am Saturday morning. I was up at 6am, went to work in the ER at 7am, only to find out I looked at the schedule wrong and I wasn't scheduled to work. I got in my car to come back home and was pulled over for speeding. I told the officer I was just trying to come home from the ER and she didn't give me a ticket (only a warning) thinking I had worked all night!! I hope the rest of my day improves. I plan to replace some electrical outlets in the house, hope my luck improves.

Yes, happy February! It is actually somwhat warmer here in DC today...I am so looking forward to spring. And I turn 29 this month -- somewhat scary but I am looking forward to it anyway.

Too bad you had to wake up early, Luanne, only to have to go home! But lucky that you didn't get a ticket. I am at work today. Did I tell you guys about what happened to me a few weeks ago? I take the bus to work on Saturdays and the bus driver didn't stop for me -- it was freezing cold and I ended up having to take a cab -- total drag! But I notified the transit people and supposedly the driver is going to be retrained and disciplined.

Happy February everyone. I know what you mean about getting closer to spring. Actually above freezing this morning. I am thinking about either painting or wallpaper/painting my spare bedroom. My computer is in here and I get so tired of staring at white walls. Probably heading to Lowes today. I just finished my oldest daughters room yesterday. Lowes had a killer deal on Laura Ashley wallpaper $3.97 a roll, matching borders for $2.97. I was able to do her room, 1/2paint-1/2 wallpaper for about $50!!! I was so excited. We would have never been able to have done that paying $20 a roll.

Hope your day goes better Luanne-be careful around that electricity!

I suppose you all will hate me when I tell you that it's 70 degrees, sunny with a light breeze....

But, like we say- South Texas in September is no picnic!

Jenn - it really has been a beautiful day (not to make all you northerners jealous or anything! )

I spent the morning at the soccer field watching Zachary play. He scored five goals! It was a lot of fun to watch!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

That stinks about getting pulled over....BUT...you did get out of the ticket!!! You and Thomas...I NEVER get out of tickets I think I'll have to invest in a stethoscope to hang across my rearview mirror 8) 8)

Maybe it was actually a good omen about how the month will go???
