  • Acai Berry

I have heard talk about this berry everywhere. They even make smoothies and yogurt out of it. I want to try it, but not sure how it taste. So what do you guys think about it?

I've had it in stuff but don't know that I could ID it by itself.

I love it. I buy it frozen and add it to smoothies and if I find it on sale I buy the acai drinks at the store...be careful though - some are packed with sugar.

My mom cannot understand the big deal - she says it has been around forever. BUT she did live in Brazil for most of her young adult life.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

I drink 2 oz. shots of it each morning and I can tell you that straight up the stuff does not taste good. I usually mix it with some sprite to cut the taste.

Yeah, it's been around forever in Brazil. And they make a lot of delicious stuff with it, but usually mixed with other fruit juice. I have no idea how it tastes "straight".

Straight? It is super puckery tart and bitter. When I had it "straight" they mixed in a boat load of suger to make it palatable.
