Some of you may know the story of how I recently drove 5 hours with the two boys and Russ to go look at and purchase a 1991 CRX....the trip that ended with the car stuck 1.5h away because it died 3h from home?

A little more back story, about 8 months ago Russ replaced a toilet in our home and put the old one outside....yeah...rockin' it white trash style....in typical dawkter fashion, he got "busy" and forgot to deal with the toilet in the backyard....finally I had enough (yeah I know, 8 months? - I should know better that they can't handle anything on their own)....he's had plenty of time to work on the car....it still isn't running but he's dropped a bunch of $$ in parts and pulled other parts out....

So I got some help and took care of the toilet in the backyard....

DH had a CRX that I made him sell when he began his 3rd yr of med school. The car was almost 10 years old, over 100k miles, not very safe and we had begun to pay big $$ to keep it going.

To this day - yes - to this day the guy still mourns giving up the CRX!!!!

He will be pleased to hear that Russ probably understands.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

He was PISSED! And cursing and cursing....and of course I was laughing and laughing. I helped him get the toilet out (because it was in there just so) and then he started "if this ruined my carpets I'm getting the interior professionally cleaned, yadiyadiyadah"....then he realized I had carefully laid down a garbage bag and towels so that his precious baby wasn't harmed...and then the side of his lip quirked up into an ever-so-slight smile....and all was well....later that night he commented "well played." I'm still chuckling about it. It was good!
