  • We're Back! (A Honeymoon Story)

O'ahu and Kaua'i were absolutely wonderful and so beautiful -- the best part, however, are the funny stories.
First off, our hotel in O'ahu didn't get the memo that we were on our honeymoon and we had separate beds in the room the entirety of our stay (I was cool with it; DH was sort of pissed) We just pushed our beds together and made a big bed *snicker*

In Kaua'i, (yes, this hotel got the "one bed" request right!), we went on a big hike into the island by ourselves - I had to pee, and had him check that no one was approaching. Imagine my surprise when a car FULL OF LOCALS came out of the bush behind us, in full view of my squatting rear.

Also of note: the mosquitos love DH. If he's around, I don't even need insect repellent. Poor baby!

We have pictures, and I hope to be uploading them soon so you guys can see just how bitten he is, and the phenomenon of humidity and my hair

Sounds like fun. Those are great stories. You will remember those forever and re-tell them your whole life.

Our favorites honeymoon mishaps: (1) My luggage was delayed -- note, do not put your birth control in the checked bag when you are on your honeymoon; and (2) I begged DrK to take me whale watching. Then when we were 5 minutes from the shore, I became incredibly seasick and we spent the remainder of the outing hanging over the edge of the boat with DrK holding my hair. . . that is until he got queezy himself and had to lie down on the floor of the boat.
