  • Needing some tech support

This is a great website! Wish I had known about it last year.
Now that I have found it, I need help using it! I am usually adept at such things.
I am having a hard time logging on the the site. I seem to have the best luck if I use the login area at the bottom of the screen -- then I see may user name listed as being logged in. But when I try to make a post, I get asked to login and put in my nickname and password, but nothing happens. I keep getting the login screen.
The way I am able to get it now is to use the link listed in the email I have.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Nellie

    Nellie,
Whenever I have trouble I ask our fearless leader - Kris -. I am not very computer literate, but with her help I have managed.

      hmmm

Nellie....It sounds like a 'cookie' problem....I'm also having some similar issues...sometimes when I'm logged on and am even posting my name doesn't show up as being online.

We just transferred the website over to a new phpnuke and are still working out some of the bugs.

You can try clearing your 'cookies'...Look at the very top of your screen where you see the browser toolbar...go to "Tools" and then "Internet Options". It should let you clear your 'cookies'.

Are you using AOL? If so, try logging onto aol and then logon to internet explorer (aol provides an internet explorer interface too)..that might help.

I'll run this by Ron again...since a few of us are still struggling with this issue.

      Sorry for the frustration!!!!
