    HA

The post office just called. Thomas found the receipt that he got when he mailed out the first letter. He HAD mailed it registered mail....he found the receipt in his wallet when he was sending it out this time and had them investigate. The post office just called. PayPal received my first affidavit 3 WEEKS ago...those liars.

Not that I've developed an obsessive hatred for them or anything :!

Wow, this is an amazing story and reminds me of my whole identity theft crisis. I just closed my PayPal account. Kris, have you considered contacting your local newspaper on this situation? Ask to talk to their tech or Internet reporter...PayPal is a big company and they should be held acocuntable to this sort of thing. In my situation, my bank sent me an affidavit within 5 days and credited my account immediately for the money that was missing. Also report this to the FTC...they have a whole section on this type of thing.

          Best of luck to you.

              I hate them

I wrote them an email yesterday stating that we had documentation from the post office that they did indeed receive the first afidavit on Jan 31 and that they needed to resolve the matter immediately. I stated explicitely that they had NO recourse to touch my personal checking account.

Today, I logged on to paypal and this is what I saw:

Add Funds to Eliminate Your Negative Balance

Your account has a negative balance of -$2,219.50 U.S. Dollars and the balance has been negative for 50 days. Please add funds to your PayPal account to bring your balance to zero or any positive amount.

Though we have sent numerous communications to you, we have not received reimbursement for this negative balance. If you do not add funds immediately, we may turn your account over to a collection agency or to our attorneys to recover the money owed.

To add funds by bank account, enter the information below and click Submit.

              From:
              XXXXXXXXXXX Bank Checking (Confirmed) XXXXXXXXXX
              Amount:

              To:
              Your PayPal Account

It takes 3-4 business days to electronically transfer funds from your bank account to your PayPal account. You can also add funds by check deposit.
Can anyone here say stress??????? I hate these people....

                  paypal

Well, I called them and once I provided them with proof of the documentation that they had indeed received the affidavit, I was placed on hold. Two minutes later, the guy came back and said "Oh yes, it is right here....we received it on the 30th" The truth..they received it on the 31st

I asked him what they were planning on doing to remedy this and he told me that they would be investigating and "don't call us, we'll call you". The warnings are supposedly automatically generated.....

Would you wait for them to call you???? 8O
