  • Frivolous List of Favs...

Who needs a distraction from the anniversary?

Let's do something brainless and light.

List your five favorite actors and actresses (stage, screen, dead or alive).

    I'll start!

    Actors:

    1. Forrest Whitaker
    2. Gregory Peck
    3. Steve Buscemi
    4. Oliver Platt (sorry--I know--he's not on anyone's list--but he really makes me laugh!)
    5. James Earl Jones

    Actresses:

    1. Audrey Hepburn (again--sorry--total cliche, but I used to watch "Roman Holiday" over and over as a kid...which I guess also explains why I listed Gregory Peck!)
    2. Katherine Hepburn
    3. Cate Blanchet
    4. Marrisa Tomei
    5. Kristen Chenoweth (although maybe she's more of a songstress than an actress, since she does primarily musicals?)

Ooo- Jerry Orbach, that's a good one!

I feel I have many more favorite male actors than favorite female actors...

I saw him on Broadway in 42nd street when I was in junior high and he's been one of my favs ever since. He was an awesome performer.

Have you seen she has a new movie coming out called "Motherhood"? It looks cute. I caught wind because a friend of a friend is in it (briefly). He got this review:
The movie's highlight is a scene with a minor character: an Indian messenger (played by charismatic newcomer Arjun Gupta) who strikes some sexual sparks with the bedraggled Eliza. His frenzied dance with Thurman is almost as memorable as her famous dance scene with John Travolta in "Pulp Fiction."

I really don't watch enough movies to contribute make a list ... but I just wanted to say that I watched Matt Damon on Dave Letterman last night... and it reminded me just how much I love him... those blue eyes and dimples...they get me every time! I seriously could watch that man talk (or do anything) all day!

I know I know, how shallow of me...

I put Matt on my list after thinking about him on Dave last night!!! Wasn't Matt hysterical?? I forget how funny he can be. Normally he does those interviews acting like he'd rather be somewhere else. Classic. Loved it!

Haha, when I was in elementary and middle school (before I actually figured out what I thought was attractive or not), I would take an actor that everyone thought of as really cute, then found another actor he did stuff with, and decided to "like" that other actor. This is how I came to determine Brad Pitt was hot (at the time, Tom Cruise was all the rage, and they were in Interview with the Vampire together) as well as Matt Damon (when everyone was obsessed with Ben Affleck).
I still think I made the better choices!

                              I agree, you did.

I never really had "crushes" on actors until I was an adult. Thus my Gene Kelly crush hit when I had just graduated from college. (ok, so maybe in highschool I had a little Harrison Ford crush) The person I did not put on my list but had on the back of my mind was Chris Pine. So far I have enjoyed him in everything he has done, (yes including Princess Diaries Two) and I am curious to watch his acting career progress. I think he has promise.
