  • Patrick Swazye died

Wow. He held on a lot longer than anyone would have guessed, with pancreatic cancer.

Who else feels a little sorrow knowing that no one will ever say, "Nobody puts Baby in a corner?" quite the same way again?

How sad... I thought perhaps he would hold on a bit longer just because he had been working and filming so recently.

Did I miss the coverage of him going down hill (I often live under a rock) or did they just keep it well hidden (or perhaps it was fast).

I just saw this. So sad.

Dh and I saw him on the cover of tabloid yesterday while at the grocery store. Dh, who normally doesn't even pay attention to such things, said "he doesn't look good". I blew it off because I never believe what is on the cover of those tabloids. Although I knew he had pancreatic cancer, I didn't believe that he would die when he did.

He'd been looking badly for a while. I'm sorry to see him go.

I just saw this too and of course the same "Baby" quote came to my mind too.

Actually, I didn't see it. Satellite news broke into the regular broadcast with the annoucenment. That was a couple of hours ago, though. I'm sure the internet news sites are carrying it now.

I agree. He was a tremendous dancer. So so talented. It seemed like he was a pretty neat guy; how awful to lose someone before his time....

I must be living under a rock...all i look at now is this site, my email and reality shows. How sad, he was very talented, and his family handled everything in a respectable way (I remember when he first got sick the family spoke out against the media going wild with the stories/pictures/gossip)
