Of course in the olden days, it meant estimated time of arrival!!!!!!!

I thought we had a sticky around here at one point, especially for those that are specific to medicine. Ahhh ... who knows, just ask.

                      Ask away!

As they say in elementary school, there's no such thing as a stupid question.

For a long time, I read DH/DS/DD as Darling Husband...Darling Son, etc. Then I once googled it bc I was googling other acronyms and realized that the rest of the world reads it as "Dear Husband, Dear Son, etc" But for me, the "darling" has stuck.

                        :P

Wow, all this time I had been thinking they stood for Doctor Husband, Doctor Son, etc. I didn't want to use DH yet because my husband is still in school and hasn't earned the right to be called doctor yet. I was afraid it would be disrespectful to all the people who's husbands had made it. Just goes to show you how clueless I am with all of this.
