  • Hypnosis

Not the "creepy" kind--the kind that helps you stop bad habits.

My employer does lots of employee development, and one of the employees is a trained hypnotist. He's helping other employees stop smoking, lose weight, etc. and I'm tempted to try it for weight loss--what do you think?

My grandmother did it and it helped her stop smoking after 40 years--or at least that is what she attributes part of her success to.

    Anybody done this?

I used it one of the times I stopped smoking. It worked really well until I circumvented the plan on purpose.

It was quick and easy and I felt FANTASTIC afterwards.

I love hypnosis. It's really nothing more than a very deep state of relaxation, and it can help with a lot of bad habits or phobias (I did it for my fear of flying). I say go for it!

My friend read a book to stop smoking and the day she was done she also was hypnotized. She has not smoked since, even though we went to a concert the next day and she was around alot of smoke.

I would love to get hypnotized to LOVE vegetables and healthy food!!

I agree with this - I found self-hypnosis a good way to keep stress down while I was in college. Looking back, I think I used the deep state of relaxation to get away from my school stresses for 20 minutes or so. It was a great way to refresh and clear my mind.

          I recommend it -- I don't think you'll be disappointed.
