  • Halloween

Since tomorrow officially marks the start of October I figured I'd ask....

Are you dressing up for Halloween this year? If so as what?

What was your favorite costume that you dressed up as?

Anyone have any good ideas of a creative costume that I can make for myself or DH?

DH's class always celebrates Halloween and I figure this year will be the last time we dress up for a while, but I am terrible at thinking of costume ideas.

I haven't really done Halloween since college and this year we were invited to a party that requires costumes. I'd really like to go but I have no idea as what. I'd like something creative but don't want to buy an expensive costume that won't ever get used again. I'm really itching to put DH into drag though.

Last year I was still living away from J and had a costume party I had to go to. I didn't feel like finding a costume, so I got a pair of scrubs and went as him... in this vein, if you want him to go in drag, you could go as him, and he as you.

We won't be doing anything for Halloween this year, I'm not even sure Adele will be dressing up but if she does she'll be a KU cheerleader.

Some couples costumes that DH and I have done:
Thing 1 & Thing 2 (EASY - red sweatsuits, white felt circles, and blue wigs)
        Priest & Pregnant Nun
        Antony & Cleopatra
        Dorothy & the Scarecrow

I am going as a suburban mom escorting Jango Fett (assuming the costume fits over the cast), Minnie Mouse, and a baby lizard.

I am not dressing up but I am taking my cat (almost 3 y/o) and mouse (almost 1 y/o) trick or treating. It's the first year DH will be here for Halloween since they were born.

I'm going as an urban mom (which means I'll likely have an open container...) and I think I'll be going with Spongebob.

One of the neighbors has a full-on Halloween party each year (last year they were the McCain/Palin house and the house across the street was the Obama/Biden house and everyone someone voted they moved a counter on a pulley back and forth between the two houses.) so I expect when the containers are empty, we'll end up there.

This would be funny. I'd love to be a super important dawkter for a few hours.

DF is going as Edward Cullen--complete with body glitter.

I don't know what I'm doing yet. There is an OU home game on Halloween, so we are thinking of going as Zombie fans.

I will be visiting S during that holiday so I am thinking we are dressing up... I have NO clue what we will be going as. But this will be my first time meeting all of his friends over that way - I shall dress to impress

Planning to make myself a t-shirt like this:

                          http://gladditudesbumptees.spreadshi...a-girl-3622204

I'll freezer-paper stencil it on my own cheaper maternity t-shirt.

Last time I was hugely pregnant at Halloween (how does this keep happening? ) I made one with a jack-o-lantern face over the belly on an orange tee, but it didn't come out as well as I hoped--looked more like the "Hey Koo-Aid!" guy.

I want to be Bella: flannel shirt and jeans, done. How easy is that?!?!?

Last year two of my friends dressed as box wine for Halloween. Easy, hilarious and multifunctional. If I had anywhere to go this year, I think I'd have to steal their idea.
