  • Paranormal Activity...

we went to see this today...pretty scary at times, but it was done very similarly to the Blair Witch Project.

I would recommend it...if you like scary movies

Everyone has been talking about this at the salon. I hate scary movies so I will be skipping it, but DH loves them. I am sure we will rent it when it comes out, I guess I will go to bed early that night. LOL

This sounds like something I want to be brave enough to see, but probably shouldn't since I have an overactive imagination, and a DH who's on-call a lot this rotation.

I need some brave friends to come see it with me.

I think I'll have to skip it. I couldn't even get through The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Hubby wasn't amused since I insisted it be turned off before it was even halfway over. LOL

DH gets mad at me, because I go to the other room and yell to him "What is happening?" Oh he gets pissed! I guess it is not as scary to have him tell me about it, as it is to watch it. I am such a goof.

I haven't even heard about it before. Is it still in theaters, or is it a rental?

I'm not big on horror movies, but I always try to watch a couple every year before Halloween, just to get in the spirit.

Yeah, I don't do well with scary movies. I will not be seeing this.

I too have an over-active imagination! DF wants me to go to a haunted house with him this year- Idon't do haunted houses OR scary movies... I am trying to get up the guts to go to one with him......

so I was a bit scared going to sleep last night...and a little disturbed this morning b/c when we went to bed the door was open, and when I woke up it was closed. I asked DW about it and she said that she closed it...so I was like "wheeew".

That movie didn't bother me too much at the theatre during the day, but I think it gets you at bedtime and when you are home alone...

A few friends from work went to see a midnight showing of this and were scared out of their wits.

I'm way too much of a wimp for scary movies. Needless to say I didn't join them.

My sentiments exactly! I "hear things" and "see things" for weeks after I watch a scary movie.

Ironically I actually just read a piece on CNN about this movie. It's here if you're curious. Basically saying what a surprise hit it was -- which is true, you wouldn't think a movie with that sort of untraditional PR campaign would get much attention, but I guess it just goes to show you how strong our sick fascination with anything that freaks us out is .
