  • Happy Match Day!

Best of luck everyone...let us know the results. I can't believe that it has been three years since we matched at this place.

    Thanks, Kelly!
We are waiting patiently (at least we are trying).
I'll post when we find out!
    Yikes! It is finally here!

DH's toxic Family Practice Residency Program with the Medical College of Wisconsin--Columbia/St. Mary's--matched ZERO for the third year in a row, which is how long it's had the new program director. Obviously this says a lot for the intelligence of the applicants, but you'd think some of the higher-ups would have gotten the message by now... So it was a happy day for us too. Especially since he's only got a week left!

(My public service announcement--anyone who's scrambling post-match, avoid this program at any cost.)

CONGRATULATIONS!!! to everyone who got where they wanted. Welcome to the next phase!!!

We matched in Kansas City as expected. Gregg is excited because it's the program he really liked. I received a job offer on Monday and we found a house we really like so things are falling into place. I'm still a bit freaked out about leaving my job here to an unknown employment atmosphere and it's going to be hard to not be able to take my newest baby to work like I have the others. Hopefully, it was the right decision and it will be great once we are back there. When I told my boss and the other people at work we all sat around and cried. I didn't expect to react that way!
