  • Shout out to Trader Joes

I know how many crazy fans of this store there are here... I hadn't gone to TJs for about 1 year when a friend recommended the frozen veggies... I ended up buying some lemon-ginger scones too.

They are the BEST thing ever. I love ginger, and these scones are awesome.

I have a feeling I'll be going to TJs often just to replenish my supply...

I have heard so much about Trader Joes and cannot wait until we move to a bigger city and have a store like this or Whole Foods.... 1.5 years and counting...

Thanks for triggering this for me....I have a TJ's 6 blocks from my clinic, and I'm headed there after work. TJ's is the best!

I love their Truly Handmade Tortillas. I just bought 8 packages to put in the freezer. I also like that my daughter can push one of the mini-carts and almost everything she puts in the basket is something I'm ok with buying.

              Stacy,

Next time you travel to STL, get a couple of freezer insulated shopping bags, and hit up TJs.
              Go nuts! So worth it.

We just got DELIVERY. "Just" as in, yesterday was my first pick up. It's not TJ's doing. An industrious group of folks realized the market here, and they'll now be making monthly pilgrimages to STL (the closest TJ's). The delivery fee is kind of hefty, but believe it or not, it's still cheaper than buying the same kind of stuff at Whole Foods.

Seriously... I live about 2 miles from it, and drive right by it all the time!!!!

But I just can't stand going in there with all the kids. Now that they're ALL in school, except for the baby and she can't do too much damage, I feel like it's *safe* to go there again!!

I had no idea you all were so TJ deprived out there...

DH and I LOVE the berry tarts they have at TJs (in the freezer section).

I'm always amazed at how reasonable the prices are. Especially compared to other places like Whole Foods, which are so much more expensive.

I'm beginning to develop a love/hate relationship with TJ' s after they stopped stocking, first the English Toffee Cake, then raspberry creme brulee and yummy french loaf bread. Seems like anything we love only lasts a couple of months there.

The frozen white and brown rice is back. I didn't realize it was missing until one of the employees told me it was back. It's a big time saver.
