So, I walk out to my car, lunch and keys and dude ready to go and lo and behold-

My car was sideswiped. The ENTIRE Left side of my car is smooshed. It appears that someone with a light blue car has some damage to their car, too.

What a pain. At least the claims process through USAA is easy.

uugh. That is horrible. All negative vibes that I can muster are headed towards the loser that did it. At least USAA has your back.

That's awful. And the person didn't even leave any info? Classy. I'm sorry. I hope your insurance takes care of this matter quickly.

That is so messed up! Bad karma follows such behavior. Hmmph. Sending you "smooth process through claims" vibes.

Well, once again, props to USAA. Everything is taken care of- the car is off to the body shop, the rental is arranged and now I need to contact Enterprise and walk over the the rental car pickup (a benefit of downtown living- always near a car rental place!)

Neither Rick or my neighbor who left the same time he did saw anything so that tells me it was someone coming home from a long night.

Ugh! I'm sorry you have to deal with that, bit so glad USAA is taking good care of you and your car. I hope whoever did it has undercooked turkey and spends their Thanksgiving in the bathroom!

Car stuff is always a pain, and very frustrating (even when you KNOW who hit you/what happened, etc.)

I swear, I have such longing to figure out a way to be eligible for USAA. Would one of you mind divorcing your husband for a month or two while I divorce mine so we can marry, then divorce, and you can have your husband back? Too much? Sadly NONE of my family has served in the military. We're all selfish schlumps (myself included).

Hussey - how about you adopt me?

I'm with you there. I'd never heard much about USAA until joining this board, and now I feel like I'm completely missing out by not having any connections.
My car insurance never handles things so promptly.

That stinks, Jenn! I hope you have a low-hassle time of getting your car fixed.

We are *thisclose* to getting USAA coverage. I'm not sure what is normal but I can't believe it is taking 3 weeks to get my car back after being in an accident. Not sure if it is the body shop guy (sniffing too much paint? ) or the insurance adjuster or what but so far it has been almost two weeks of waiting for about a week's worth of work. *grrr*
