  • Christmas gift ideas?

I received my sister-in-law in our secret santa this year and I am looking for suggestions for a gift for her. She is a 21 year old college student who is going to be spending next semester in Florence. She is usually pretty easy to buy for but I was hoping to get her something that would be useful and/or meaningful while she is away. I am having trouble coming up with ideas and would greatly appreciate any suggestions!

Not sure if she drinks wine, but all of my old sorority sisters loved to collect the wine and martini glasses from Lolita. I think that have some that are for taking a trip. Here is the website, I know they sell them in TJ MAXX, Homegoods, and Hallmark. They are much cheaper in those stores than anywhere else.

There are several dining guides to Florence that I found invaluable when we were there. I'll get off my arse and get the name later! A map of Florence is helpful. Money. (It's not cheap)
DK makes a great guide to Florence.

A voltage converter for her laptop/appliances. Saved my life when I went to Europe. Still ended up with a fried laptop charger cord, though

Thanks for the ideas! I wouldn't have thought of a voltage converter and I know she'll need her laptop over there especially since her boyfriend and her will be so far apart. The wine glasses are definitely cute but unfortunately I know I'll get an evil glare from the MIL if I give her them. That's just the way she is. I'll look into some dining guides too.

I had a hard time figuring out what to get my sister in law as well. I ended up getting her a 3 month Netflix membership. If she likes movies it is a great gift.

The best "travel" related gift I have ever gotten was a travel blanket. It's super soft, fits in a teeny tiny bag that's easy to tuck inside my purse, and makes it SO much easier to sleep on long haul flights.

I just got something like that for channukah tonight! I guess they are selling them at old navy. This one is bigger then OnionGrad described. Its actually the size of a hardback book so that you can use it as a pillow or take out the blanket and use it, and it comes with an eye mask. Its soooo soft. It has a clip to clip on to luggage. I love it!
