  • Extraordinary Measures

I know this is a movie but I didn't want to post this in the movie area. If you're not familiar with the movie its about a father who's told his son's disease in incurable, because of that the movie company is donating $10,000 to the winning charity, the one of interest to me is called Batten's disease.

Please visit the site and vote - vote for any of them, really. But I would consider it a personal favor if you voted for Noah.

    http://extraordinarymeasuresthemovie.com/#/quilt

The entry is called Noah's Hope - Fix You (its currently showing up on the 2nd page of the quilt) and the mother of these three adorable children, two of which have a incurable disease, was a co-worker of mine before I became a SAHM. She worked in our Chicago office. Be prepared to cry if you watch the whole video, its a very sad story.

    Thanks!

I voted. I was sure I wasn't going to cry, but the kicker was when I found out that one of the girls has the disease, too.

              ... yup, tears here.
Thanks for posting this. I voted...

On an interesting side note, I met the grandma of the boy who plays the son in the movie... his name is Diego and I happened to get a pedicure next to his grandma and we got to talking, so now I'm excited to see the movie after hearing about how he got excused from school for filming and has a tux for the premiere, etc. My 3rd grader is the dramatic sort, so it was fun to come home and tell her what I heard about the life of a budding star, ha!
