    Okay my techi friends, what is your opinion on it? I just received my free upgrade and am leary about installing it. I still need to create the backup disks and restore points, but that is relatively easy...

    I love it. I think it's MUCH better and faster than Vista. Go for it.

      Yeah, my husband likes it a lot better than Vista too.

        I got it on the laptop that I had to buy for my PT job- it hasn't had any bugs yet.

          How old is your laptop? I had a friend who installed it on an 8 month old laptop, and it wouldn't recognize his cd-rom drive. I know other people who liked it, though. (I'm a macolyte)

            My laptop is 30 days old today.

            I'm a mac person myself but the job doesn't have mac compatible software.

                My Dell laptop hasn't crashed at ALL since we did the 7 install... it was horrible with Vista. And DH's computer guys at work said it's much more stable than anything that's come out in the past several years, so that's comforting.
