  • Snow Day!

It's the second snow day of the school year - which means we go 2 days longer in June. UGH.

But the kids are getting to sleep in and later we might go cross country skiing.

Who else has a snow storm or snow day today?

I had to work, but schools around here are cancelled because of the cold. Yep, the cold. No snow, no ice. 15 degrees. Yes, that's cold, but I've seen a picture of Kris in shorts in -20! Hehe, oh well, I'm sure the kids are enjoying the day off!

It's actively snowing here right now, we're expecting 3-6 inches (depending on who you ask ). Fortunately we don't have anywhere we have to be today, so I think the kiddos and I are going to head outside this afternoon and play in the snow.

We are getting a pile of snow here. The forecast said 1-2 or 2-4 depending. We have at least 4" and counting. Late this morning, visibility was around a quarter of a mile and ALL of the roads were snow covered. I am curious how much we will get overall.

But being Wisconsin, school doesn't close unless we get more than a foot of snow and/or air temps are below -20.

My kids were only supposed to go back to school today (they've been on break since 12/18), and today is a snow day. They've already called tomorrow, too. It's reportedly the worst winter here in 25 years.

No snow day here. We might have a late start tomorrow if it does snow. The three days before winter break (MTW) were all canceled due to snow days. So instead of only a week and two days of winter break we had a whole two weeks. Four snow days are built into the year, so we only have one free day left. After that they start adding on. We already go into mid June, so I am praying that doesn't happen.

Very cold here, and supposed to get snow starting soon in the next couple of hours.

Snow day yesterday and school start delay today. We had an awesome time sledding, snowboarding, building snow forts. I *almost* had a tiny moment of nostalgia for Minnesota....and then I snapped out of it and returned to my senses. It is cool and fun here because it is novel. I love four equal seasons.

They had a snow day in Nashville where I am from.... with no snow. Not even a flurry. But the forecast got them worried. As MiGirl said there is snow everywhere here in Michigan though. I don't leave the house when it is snowing. DH does the grocery shopping for me when there is snow on the ground.
