I voted Tiger Wood. He's important enough to care about (as opposed to Jon) but his scandal is all scandal. (Girls! Sex! Drugs! Money! (to be lost, in the future) Bizarre violence!) Bernie Madoff is too dry. Big news, big damage, but it isn't Jackie Collins. Edwards? Well, no surprise there. Too predictable.

Tiger Woods. We expect politicians and filthy-rich businessmen to have skeletons in their closets. But, I think most people were truly shocked about Tiger Wood's double life. I know I was!

I went w/ Tiger because I think comparitively his was the bigger scandel but I have to say I thought long and hard about Gov. Appalachia himself. His was important only because he was yet another "do as i say, not as I do" I'd add Edwards, and Ensign to that list, too.

But, it was already pretty obvious that Edwards was having the affair - since the time of his running for vice president. I just said, "Well, duhhh," when more Edwards stuff came out.

The shocking thing about Edwards, for me, was that he ran for president and must knowing about the child. How on earth would that not have come out? Still, I think Tiger wins even though I chose Balloon Boy as my knee-jerk first pick.

I agree! And now I'll go vote.

Balloon Boy... That interview with him is high up on my list of funny videos (alongside the Coat Store, of course).

I went with Tiger. He and Jon Gosselin were tied for number of pages in Art Therapy, but you'd expect reality TV stars to be involved in a scandal before sports stars.

I voted Tiger. But really, I would say Kate Gosselin's hair was more of a scandal.

                        I voted for Tiger.

I feel as though some of those people are famous because the media is telling us that they are famous. And their 15 minutes has been up for a long, long time (Jon Gosselin, Balloon Boy). Who really cares about them? Will we be talking about them in 5 years from now? Survey says nope.

Most of the rest are politicians, so as Rapunzel said, we kind of expect them to have something to hide. If this were a list solely comprised of political scandals, my vote would have been for Sanford. It started out weird with the "disappearance" and then got even weirder with all of the press conferences. Held my interest more than any of the other guys, that's for sure.

Bernie Madoff would have been another choice, I watched a lot of local TV coverage about the lives that he ruined. And we're not talking the millionaires' either, there were the elderly people who lost EVERYTHING, etc. But I don't think he really had the national impact, other than for people to sit back and say "how the hell did he get away with that for so long?!".

Tiger had everything that the other scandals were lacking. He is someone who isn't just in the public eye because it's his 15 minutes. He has been there, through his sport and endorsements, for years. It wasn't something we were expecting out of him, given his clean-cut image (okay, he throws clubs and has some hissy fits on the greens, but pretty good guy as a whole). And his presence is, unlike, Bernie, international. People know who he is and a lot of them, until early December, looked up to him and admired him for a variety of reasons.

I'm disappointed that (as of right now) he won't be playing this year. Before all this news broke, I was looking forward to seeing how he would play after the surgeries. I hope that one day he returns to golf because he is one of the sport's best. It gets a little boring watching these tourneys and championships without him, he makes it more interesting.

I thought Tiger scandal was already in 2010.

The accident was Nov 27th, and word of the affairs came out pretty shortly after that...
