The dentists we know have it way better than the MDs. Work four days a week, make a million a year. And I seriously tried to get DH to go into dentistry, but "my hands are made for surgery" he said.

But in all honesty, MD's still make a very good living doing what they love. So no complaints here.

I hear their tuition is rediculously high but they have no residency. No residency! Seriously? Sign me up!

Hmm... two of my friend's best friends from college are in dental school, and they're both headed to residency... Their match was a couple weeks ago.

Residency is optional, definitely not mandatory. The dentists I know are specialists, and their residency was only two years.

You can't help but wonder how many women have married a man for his money or status knowing that he will cheat on her.

I agree. It takes such a shallow existence to marry someone for their money. Which is funny because right now all I see is debt, no $$$$. Society does not see what doctors actually take home after years of accumulating debt w/ interest.

Amen to that too - we have ceased to mention to anyone that he is in medical school. I remember he mentioning it once at a car dealership - and the response "So, let me take you over here to the new BMWs..." Yea, right. Let's go right back over to the used cars, thankyouverymuch! The public is so misinformed, this will always be irritating.
