    The Rant/Vent thread!

    Because it is still winter ... and because I feel crabby I have decided to start an official rant/vent thread! Feel free to add your own rant/vent....keep the thread alive indefinitely or let it sink...

    But here's mine:

    I recently (like in the last month or so) got a 10.1 inch PINK Asus Eee netbook computer that I LOVE. I was so excited to get this and sooooo happy! I hooked it up to our computer network here at home and officially named it "Princess" on our network. LOL I know, I know....

    When I was working on the site upgrade stuff....I dropped it.

    No, I really did! It slipped out of my hands when I was walking across the living room to the fireplace and hit the wooden floors on the corner. It still works, but the case is cracked on the corner and now I have to be very careful with closing and opening the screen.

    boohoo!

    I can't get the jogger stroller out of our shed because the door is still blocked by about 2 feet of snow, and the roads aren't plowed all the way from our blizzards so there's not enought parking at the school for school pickups, and it takes over 20 minutes to pick the kids up from school. And we live a nice 7 minute walk away. The jogger stroller is the only one that can handle all the off roading we'd have to do to make the walk now.

    So sick of the mud tracked into our house which feels smaller and smaller about this time of year. So sick of the ice melt salt that is everywhere. So sick of the kids being inside. So sick of picking up people from all their activities that I signed them up for...

    sigh.

    Sorry about your laptop. That really sucks.

        Kris - I'm sorry that totally sucks!

        Peggy - its hard enough for us adults to be pent up, its even harder for the kiddos! Hope the snow melts so you can take those walks!

          So DH and I have a roommate (kind of strange, I know). Well, roommate is moving out March 5th, but quit work last Friday. So now his days are filled with sitting on the couch, eating food, and drinking soda and beer...and leaving all his trash everywhere. So annoyed right now - I'm just counting down until March 5th!

            I've got a good boohoo-

            We got our bank account emptied last week from a theif who somehow got ahold of our bank card info and went on a spending spree in the bronx at Best Buy. Dh just got paid that day and I was going to pay bills now we have to wait two weeks until the bank investigates to get our money back. Totally broke and unable to pay the bills If the stupid bank even looked at our account they would know at first glance that it was fraud. Stupid giant soulless institutions.

              TOTALLY feel for you! DH's brother lived with us for almost a year and did the exact same thing. DH invited him to live with us and moved in a couple days after I came home from the hospital after giving birth to our youngest DS. I HATED EVERY SECOND of that arrangement. Needless to say, my relation with my BIL has forever changed for the worse.

              Today's rant: I hate that my laptop screen always vibrates and I have to hit it, slam it, to stop. I should get it fixed.

                    Ides, I think you win.

                    My vent at the moment: I work in a building that (for now) also houses all the criminal courts for the city and county. There's currently a huge, media-circus trial going on, and there are sheriffs everywhere. They keep blocking off the hallway, so I'll get to the top of the stairs, where I can see my office right across the hall, and be forced to wait while they escort a witness or somebody down the hallway.

                      True. Ides, that sucks. I hope it resolves quickly.

                      My rant: Joined a gym. Bought a food dairy. Have religiously tracked food and exercised for an hour a day/five times a week at gym for past three weeks. Result? Have lost 1 pound, gotten sick (again) and no longer fit in my skinny jeans because I am now so gosh-darn firm I can't squish my tush in.

                          Here's my rant: I'm starting to think my mail may have been stolen one day last week while we were out of town. I was missing a tax document that was sent 2/12, and am now realizing I'm also missing an Applebees gift card that I had my friend buy as part of that fundraiser I posted. I couldn't care less about the Applebees card -- I don't eat there and only bought it to support the fundraiser, but the tax stuff obviously had my SS# on it ...

                            Boo..that sucks. Someone got ahold of my mom's identity that way. The woman had the nerve to come to our door and ask when the mail came! (We knew it was her because she said she had just moved to the neighborhood on a street that doesn't actually have any homes on it...)

                            My wee little rant...we figured out who the inevitable class asshat is going to be...

                              DH's inevitable class asshat was one of the first people from his class that I met. Why does it work that way?

                              My rant: I've been sick for a week, *completely* out of it since Sunday morning, and have missed several things I wanted to attend, and had to postpone a phone interview because of it. sucks!
