I hate dealing with a wet bed.

Rant #2: Sophie is done puking and has perked up considerably. Now we have explosive diarrhea. Good times. I will take a wet bed over a soiled one any day.

I am waiting for the results of a stool culture done on my nephew, the source of this joy. Hopefully it is something treatable and I can get Sophie done right away, instead of having to wait for x number of days before the ped gets concerned.

Just want to say to those of you who got your money stolen/mistakenly overdrawn, I am SO sorry. That has got to be the worst feeling in the world. Really, really sucks.

Three-year-old DS just found a razor in the trash can and cut off his damn eyebrows. Yeah. Thinking about posting the pic in call room.

I found my overly-expensive nail thickener clear polish--DF swiped it and has been using it to touch up chips in the finish of his precious baby (bike)

Wow!! Reading some of these really makes my vents seem miniscule!! My only current rant is that I have this horrible cold and it is completely kicking my butt! I am behind in everything and desperately need to get caught up, but since I'm sick that is just not getting done!!

I wish those that have had financial fraud and overdrawn issues the best of luck in getting that resolved! That really sucks!!

January and February "Cleveland weeks" were each reduced by one week because of pointless work travel. And no one in Cleveland shovels their sidewalk so I've been constantly injured while trying to train on snow which has been frozen solid and piled up for several months. UGH!

Well, here's my rant/vent. Here I am wrapping up the last 2 weeks of my gloriously long (4 month) maternity leave and finalizing all arrangements for childcare. I have been in touch with my childcare provider during this time...just to say "hi" and check in. Well, due to circumstances out of her control (really, I don't blame her or anything), she has just told me that she is only able to watch my kids on Thursdays. Hmmm...this is an issue. I am a nurse and work 2-3 evenings per week. I try to manage my schedule to avoid DH's call days, and I can do my best to switch with people to try to work thursdays (as long as DH isn't on call), but really, I have little control over the days I work. Even if I did work every thursday, I would still have another day (other than the weekend) to set up.
I HATE HATE HATE figuring out new childcare arrangements! I feel like I have been down this road too many times! We have been fortunate for the last year and a half to have a great child care arrangement with a stay at home mom (the person I am referring to above). So here I am 2 weeks left before I go back to work and NOW scrambling around. I do have a couple of college girls that help me out now and then, but they are not willing/able to commit to a regular gig. Not to mention they are both leaving for the summer come May. Looks like I need to renew my subscription to sittercity...

                        My current vent:
My parents, while safe, are still stuck in Santiago, Chile. DD's baptism is on Saturday (my parents won't be back by then), we ordered food for about 50 people and only about 20 are going to be able to make it, all due to crazy, unforeseen circumstances. On the upside, medicine has taught me to just go on as planned, and make the most of it.

Recently, DH closed his bank account w/ Citi, and set it up so that his paycheck goes directly into my bank account with BofA.
Well, the direct deposit order didn't go through this week, so he had to take the paycheck and deposit it himself: their policy promises that if deposits are made "before 8pm, they will credit same business day and be made available." LIES! A random, unexplained hold was placed on his ENTIRE PAYCHECK (I have spoken with 3 different employees, and apparently, this is a "fine print" policy). When presented with their own contradicting statements, all I could get was "Uh, I'm sorry, I don't know why. But they have a right to do this to anyone, over any amount, whenever." WTH?!
Funds aren't available until MONDAY, and we have bills to pay/AAFP trip expenses as a delegate to the capitol this weekend. He is so angry right now, because I told him it would be okay, and then this happened with my bank.
