    I thought this article was interesing:

    Chile quake may have tipped Earth's axis



    To sum it up it says that "The change is negligible, but permanent: Each day should be 1.26 microseconds shorter, according to preliminary calculations. A microsecond is one-millionth of a second."

    It goes into how its happened before in the opposite way and its not really a big deal.

    I thought it was a fun bit of trivia to know

      Wow very interesting. I had a college professor tell our class once, that every time the space shuttle takes off, it knocks the earth off orbit some 100th of a millimeter.
