I just wrote a really long thread asking for advice on the transition to a big boy bed. It was long and detailed and perfect. Just as I was about to hit pot, my two year old hit the backspace key and it cleared it all.

So, this is going o be short. We transitioned into a big boy bed a week ago and my son has been getting up at 2am every night. Some times crying. Some times he gets up, turns on the light, and starts to play. I am tired and want to get a full nights sleep again. Any advice?

I remember we had a week or so of that- I think I was pretty matter of fact about it (mostly because I was exhausted) and we'd turn off the light and put him back to bed. No chance for drama. Eventually the novelty wore off.

I cannot speak from experience but I have heard that you should just walk them back to bed and keep doing this as long as necessary. Hopefully it doesn't take to many nights!
